What is The 30-Day Vegan Challenge®?
The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® is a multimedia, interactive online program created and written by bestselling author Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, featuring outstanding written, audio, and video content to give you everything you need to support you on your journey towards optimal wellness and unconditional compassion.
How long can I have access to all of the content (videos, recipes, resources, audio messages)?
When you join, you have access to everything, including the daily messages, recipes, videos, audio podcasts, recipes, meal suggestions, and printable resources forever! Your account never expires. In addition, you have instant and permanent access to any new information Colleen adds - resources, recipes, videos, etc.
Who is The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® for?

Absolutely! Registration is open to anyone, anywhere, at anytime!
- PAYMENTS & GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS
What payment methods do you accept?
PayPal is our secure payment processor, which works smoothly and automatically with our 30-Day Vegan Challenge® system, including for Gift Certificates. However, if you’d like to pay with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), that’s an option, too! Once you accept the terms and click on Get Started Today during the quick registration process, you’ll have the option to choose “Don’t Have a PayPal Account?” in order to use your credit card as payment.
Can I pay by eCheck?
Absolutely. If you opt to pay by eCheck through PayPal there will be a short delay in processing your subscription while the eCheck clears. PayPal usually clears the eCheck within 2 or 3 days. Once we receive notification from PayPal that the check has cleared, your account will be activated and your Welcome Email will be sent out immediately.
Can I register by paying by check?
Indeed! Make your check out to Compassionate Cooks, LLC and mail it to P.O. Box 16104, Oakland, CA 94610. Please include the names and email addresses of the people you’re buying The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® for, even if it’s for yourself. We need the first and last name and email address in order to process the registration manually. You will receive a confirmation email from us once we’ve processed your payment and have activated your registration.
How can I redeem my gift certificate?

I received notification of a gift certificate for The 30-Day Vegan Challenge®, but I cannot find the email. Can I still redeem the gift certificate?
Of course! Simply log into your PayPal account (or open an account), to see the gift certificate in your account. Your redemption code and link will be there.
- THE PROCESS
What can I expect once I sign up?
As soon as you sign up, you immediately receive your Welcome Email, which provides you with a temporary password (your “username” is the email address with which you registered). You can immediately log in and read Welcome Message from Colleen (under Daily Message), which prepares you for the next 30 days. You can also access some resources (under the Resources tab), such as Guide to Vegan-Friendly Brands, My Vegan Shopping List, and Know Your Numbers. The following day, Day 1 of your journey begins, and you receive an email each day for 30 days, plus an extra wrap-up email on Day 31. Your daily email tells you what you can find when you log in and provides a link to that day's content. But remember, because you can log in anytime you want to see your content, you don't need this email from us to view each day's content. You can even change your settings in your profile (under Notifications) to NOT receive emails.
Each day features a different topic offered in a variety of mediums: as written material, audio messages (“podcasts”), and videos. Each day also offers printable resources, menu ideas, meal suggestions, and brand-new recipes from Colleen, created just for this program. The topics for the 30 days are as follows:

Do I need Internet access to receive the information?
Yes, in order to register for and take part in The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® you need to have access to the Internet in order to log into your account. Each day, new content will appear in your password-protected account, enabling you to read, listen to audio podcasts, and/or watch videos.
Can I sign up today but delay the start of my emails arriving?
The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® is set up to start on the day you register, starting with your Welcome Email, then continuing the next day with Day 1, and so on. At this time, it is not possible to delay or alter the start date, so be sure to be ready to start when you sign up! On a somewhat related note, when you purchase a Gift Certificate for a friend, you can choose the date you want them to receive notification of their gift. Once they receive it, they can start anytime they want.

Will I receive recipes throughout the 30 days?
Absolutely! In addition to a ton of menu suggestions, meal ideas, product recommendations, and quick throw-togethers, Colleen has created a number of brand-new recipes for this Challenge, and more will be added! Here are some of the new recipes you can expect to enjoy:

I want to avoid/am allergic to nuts, oil, soy, wheat, gluten, [fill-in-the-blank]. Will this Challenge accommodate my specific dietary needs?
The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® is most definitely a big-picture program that addresses the typical questions and issues people have when transitioning from an animal-based diet to a plant-based diet/vegan paradigm. (See topics above.) Once people are empowered to embrace their values, speak up for what they want, understand that the nutrients we need are plant-based, etc., they can apply these principles to every aspect of their lives, including specific dietary needs/preferences. Colleen’s approach is to provide the information and then encourage people to do with that information what they please. She does not advocate any one type of diet (gluten-free, soy-free, raw, fat-free, oil-free, nut-free, etc.) over another, but she is always conscious of people who fall into these categories. You’ll find that throughout her work – and this Challenge – she refers to various products and brands that might fall into these categories.
As for her recipes, she always indicates whether they are wheat-free, gluten-free, soy-free, oil-free, tree-nut-free, and/or peanut-free! For instance, of the 18 formal new recipes, 13 of them are gluten-free and wheat-free. On the daily meal suggestions, 32 are gluten-free and 22 more can easily be made gluten-free by using gluten-free cereal, bread, pasta, or tortillas. Out of the 18 recipes, 16 are tree-nut-free, and 16 are peanut-free.
(As for her baked goods, Colleen specializes in vegan baking – not gluten-free baking. Feel free to experiment using gluten-free flour in her baked goods recipes, but gluten-free baking definitely requires a little trial and error.)

I’m vegan already. Will I get anything out of The 30-Day Vegan Challenge®?
Absolutely! The vast amount of information provided in this program is perfect for vegans who want to arm themselves with the knowledge they need to answer questions, debunk myths, and guide others. Colleen is continually told by long-time vegans that they continue to learn through her work, which encompasses so many aspects of living thoughtfully and well. Colleen’s no-nonsense approach will quite literally have you walking away each day with succinct, relevant, compassionate responses to the typical questions and challenges vegans hear. In addition, her nutrient-dense recipes and resources and tips for eating as healthfully as possible are helpful for everyone, whether they’re vegan or not, brand-new vegan, or long-time vegan!
I already own or am interested in purchasing the book, The 30-Day Vegan Challenge. Is the content of the online program different from the book?
The online program and The 30-Day Vegan Challenge book complement each other perfectly. Only a few of the recipes from the online program are in the book, plus dozens that are exclusive to that book. The rest of the content simply suits different mediums: print, video, and audio and compliments each other. For instance, the online program enables Colleen to share video cooking demonstrations and messages, while the book enables you to curl up and read her inspiring words.
*NOTE: If you have the old, out-of-print version of The 30-Day Vegan Challenge (2011): none of the recipes from that book are in this online program or the new, revised book, The 30-Day Vegan Challenge (2015).
Is the information in The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® relevant to people who live outside of the United States?
Yes! Although specific foods and brands mentioned throughout the program may be different depending on where you live, all the general principles can be applied to anyone, anywhere.
Am I allowed to share the information I receive with friends?
Colleen has dedicated several years to creating this program, and she and her team have worked very hard putting it all together. Registering for this program is similar to buying a book; although you can “lend” this copyrighted material to friends, we ask that you not copy the whole thing and share it with everyone you know. Please be respectful and know that we kept the price very low so you can gift your friends and family.
I’ve been receiving each day’s email, then today none came. What gives?
Even if you’ve been receiving emails from us, it doesn’t mean a future one won’t unexpectedly end up in your spam filter. Unfortunately, we have no control over the settings in your spam filter; everyone’s settings are different. So, please follow the steps below to retrieve your email and prevent it from happening in the future:
1. Please check your spam folder. If you find our email, please mark it as: “This is NOT Spam.”
2. Even if you find our emails in your spam folder, you still need to add the email address email@example.com to your list of safe senders. In most email clients, adding our address to your address book/safe senders list will do the trick.
And remember – even if you don’t receive your daily emails from us, you can log into your account anytime. If you have trouble retrieving your password, just drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How long will I have access to the information I’m purchasing?
As long as you keep your password-protected account with us (and don’t cancel it), you will have access FOREVER AND EVER! And that includes access to any and all new content (videos, audio messages, recipes, etc.) we add as time goes on. Lifetime access also means lifetime support and community in the message boards.
Do I need to have a particular device to access the information?
The 30-Day Vegan Challenge® works on any desktop or laptop computer with Internet access, as well as on iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPodTouch), Android and Blackberry devices. For some of the content, you will need the free Adobe Reader.
Where can I buy Colleen's books?
Colleen's books (The Joy of Vegan Baking, The Vegan Table, Color Me Vegan, Vegan's Daily Companion, On Being Vegan, and The 30-Day Vegan Challenge) are available everywhere books are sold - from small independent stores to large chains. And don’t hesitate to ask your local bookstore to carry any of her books if you don’t see them on the shelves.
